I found this article with photo tips from 10 top Etsy sellers. They are really simple and will help you a lot on your work.
I personally think that having a light box is a must. My pics changed so much when I made mine. You don't need a fancy one, and you'll see it on the first tip by Elizabeth Williams.

Saturday Morning Surf

This is a good moment to surf on the web for interesting blogs. Its not hard to find them. The difficult thing is to choose which ones to post because there's a huge amount of handmade and decor blogs online. And probably, if you entered one you may have found it also includes a list of recommended blogs. I'm a brand new blogger so this is a new field for me.
Here are 3 blogs I want to share with you:
1. Try handmade (http://tryhandmade.com/) I actually found this blog a couple of weeks ago. They feature artists at least 3 times per week and you also can submit your own pics on their gallery. What I found today is that they have a shop (http://www.1000markets.com/groups/tryhandmade) with fabulous items. You can tell that they care about offering good products with good photos.
2. Papernstitch (http://www.papernstitch.com/) They have an extensive artists' display. You'll find the items on sale after you click on a name which will also link you back to their shop. If you are interested in selling, they charge a monthly fee for exhibition. There are no fees for selling items.
3. Mixed Plate Blog (http://www.mixedplateblog.com/) A little bit of everything: artwork, decor, jewelry, accesories, clothing, food...you name it! The feature and interview artists as well.

Interview to Photography by Bomobob

My first interview. Thanks Bomobob for your time!
1. What kind of art do you make and how would you describe it?
I'm a photographer. I do other things as well, but that's my main artistic endeavour.
2. What’s your favorite material to work with?
Film. Even in this digital age, I still mostly shoot film. I love the tactile nature of it, holding it up to the light, the richness of the colour of saturated slide film.
3. What do you like most from your profession?
I love the way the world looks through the viewfinder of a camera, the way you have to choose what fits in and what doesn't. It makes me see light and lines differently than with the naked eye.
4. What’s the most challenging thing you had to face?
Honestly, keeping dust off my gear in Southern Africa.
5. Where do you find your inspiration?
Most of the time I don't find it, but it finds me. Being outdoors in nature invariably makes me see things I never would have thought of. I travel a great deal, and am always immersing myself in new surroundings, and when that happens, it just comes. I think being out of my own local "world" is the greatest inspiration for me.
6. If you had the possibility to create your ideal studio, how would it be?
Big. Two big rooms, two floors. One for photography and one for woodworking!
7. Which are your favorite artists?
I love the architecture of Antonio Gaudi. He had an amazing ability to fuse technology and physics with nature.
8. What music have you been listening to recently?
Puccinin's "Tosca". You asked :)
9. Last book you read or you are reading right now.
"The End of Mr. Y", by Scarlett Thomas.
10. Which are your favorite blogs?
decor8.com, thriftydecorchick.blogspot.com
11. Where can we find you?
